Thank you for visiting our web shop and viewing our first ever blog post.
This one is just an introduction of who we are behind the business and insight into where we've come from, where we are and where we'd like to take this...
Firstly, Ange (Me). I am a mum of 4 (maybe crazy but my heart is full). I am a wife.
Photography has always been an interest of mine, but until id had my 3rd baby I had never owned a DSLR. I was a proud phone user and had a little canon point and shoot, both of which did an amazing job for me as a mum.
In late 2013 I signed up to do my Diploma in Professional Photography with The Photography Institute. It was great. I learned all these amazing skills on how to use my fancy (not professional but a huge step up from my nifty p&s) camera and the basics on starting out as a photographer.
Proudly, I graduated in 2014, received my Diploma and started as Ange Franklin Photography. This venture evolved into Cheeky Smiles Photography in 2015, after deciding to move back home (to Inverell from living in Cobar & Orange)
New name, new goals... I wanted to run my business with the sole purpose of photographing babies and kids...
I did a lot of Families, a couple of weddings, some events but it was definitely the baby and kids session that made my heart happy---
In 2018, after almost 12 months of monthly sessions with Billie's little guy, Master C, our friendship had sparked (basically from the beginning) and it was made obvious this girl had talent. She had passion and with these two things she come on board and together we have made Cheeky Smiles Photography what it is today!
So--
Billie. Billie is a Mum of 2. A wife. And incredibly creative! Like me, her passion for photography has always been there she just needed a persuasive nudge to tel herself Yes! I got this... and look at her now! I can not even tell you how proud I am of how quickly she has picked up knowledge of using her camera, editing and I honestly could not do this without her.
Where we hope to see ourselves heading?
We have massive plans to extend the services we are currently able to offer in our studio- Family Sessions, Maternity Sessions just to name a few. We will be spending as much time as we can getting ready and purchasing what we need to be able to offer these services but I am so confident that they will go off with a bang with careful planning and not rushing it. We are doing research into the best quality and most suitable backdrop systems and drops, tasteful props to compliment our intentions and offering fantastic, AFFORDABLE and unique studio portraits for everyone!
OUR NEW PRODUCT RANGE!!! OH.. EM... GEE! The response to our slate prints has been overwhelming!! But we knew you'd love them as much as we do!
We have also redesigned our USBs. They're simple yet elegant and the quality, outta this world!!!
Still to come is our flush mount prints... a little brief description- available in 5x7 or 8x10, they come in packs of 6 or 12. Absolutely stunning- until samples arrive you're just going to have to trust us! They look great, they're durable and goodness, you're just honestly going to have to wait and see.....
I think ill leave it there. This was suppose to be short and sweet lol
Please forgive me as this is my first ever blog post, id love to blog about sessions, keep you updated with how/what we have in the works but writing has never been my strong point! So with that said, ill learn the art eventually, I hope to make these entertaining, purposeful and full of relevant exciting news so you don't get bored reading what sometimes may seem like complete and utter word vomit!
